Goldn is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as eligible for Germany's government Invest program, which uses grants to encourage private investment in startups operating in Germany.
This program has three goals, according to its administrator, the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA):
- Provide young, innovative companies with greater ease of access to venture capital
- Encourage business-minded individuals to take a stake in young, innovative companies
- Motivate already active business angels to invest more venture capital in young, innovative companies
“This is a fantastic way to promote innovation in Germany, and we’re really happy to have been recognized as innovators” said Goldn CEO Udo Eberlein. “This is a huge help to companies, like ours, who are taking a leading role in digitalizing the way business is done. Germany, formulation-based industries like cosmetics, and investors all stand to benefit enormously.”
Goldn’s listing on the Invest program’s website is located here.
The program aims to help young companies gain market access and successfully complete the growth phase. Inclusion is a valuable recognition of the promise that Goldn presents.
If a company’s shares are eligible for Invest subsidies, as Goldn’s are, an investor can apply to BAFA for a grant.
With the grant, the government refunds 20% of the investor’s approved investments between €10,000 and €500,000 in a calendar year. Assuming they follow certain program rules, investors are not obliged to repay the grants.
In addition, individuals who invest in companies and then sell their shares for a profit after a certain amount of time can apply for an exit grant: a lump-sum refund of capital gains tax on the sale of shares purchased. This provides additional incentive to invest in young, dynamic businesses in Germany.
To qualify for inclusion in the Invest program, a company must prove that it has innovative capacity. Goldn does: it's full-service, end-to-end creation ecosystem will bring an entirely new series of collaborative possibilities, revolutionize workflows, and spur progress in an industry that is currently highly dependent on a fragmented series of analog, manual processes.
